Dear Danny,
Here’s the thing, man.
It probably seems pathetically preposterous
to a person such as your profoundly proud self,
but at least pretend to listen.
Don’t worry.
I understand.
You cannot validate me.
You are not me, nor I you.
You’re right about that part.
but I’m more you than you’d think,
in a darkly nonspecific way.
See how silly and sad that is?
You despise me for breathing
——- and for being right.
Look both ways as you try to understand people.
All the same, yet different.
Mind the gaps to help keep communication civil.
We can’t all be right…like me!

Ahhhh… understanding those who are not quite on the same wavelength or ride like we are. Love this format, Bill.

Thank you, Dale. What you say here is especially true when the person is a relative.

Oh boy, is it ever. We can’t always simply avoid them, can we?

As in estranged? Many do find ways.

I guess. I find it sad when families become estranged because of differences of opinion. Of course, in some cases, it is best to cut ties altogether; still…

Of course it’s sad. Emotional. And often unnecessary. Why I write about it. 🙂

Thank goodness for writing. It lets us get all that stuff out… I best start up again. I am not in my best place.

I think this type of conversation is one many of us have had at some time in our life, so well written Bill ❤
