Friday Fictioneers for September 23rd, 2022

For the last full day of global top-half summer, our waving but unwavering maven of history’s mysteries, Rochelle, has boxed-up a deal with Alicia Jamtaas. That duet has flat-out challenged our fictioneer muses to contrive artful `songs or stories of fewer than 101 words. I don’t think titles or postscripts count, lest she DQ’s me.

Click any box, bike, or item in Alicia’s photo and UPS will pick you up and creatively deliver you to Rochelle’s post of purple passions to open the what-ifs and where-how’s of joining the fray.

“You didn’t have to shoot him, Bill.”

“His last bad joke. My gun’s in the blue-handled box.”

“Nothing’s priced. What’s up behind the curtain?”

“Porno auditions. You should try out.”

“Focus, Bill. We need that damn gun. This shooting people over jokes needs to stop.”

“It wasn’t the joke. He was an asshole and an organ donor. I made the world a better place with one shot.”

“Oh? HE was now? Okay. We’ll pick up what’s left at the morgue tomorrow. She wants a grand for the box. She must know.”

“Well, crap! Ask her if she’s an organ donor.”

Look both ways to make your world better.
Mind the gaps, especially in murder plots.
“Remember what the dormouse said, feed your head.”

Click on the man with a gun to read more boxes of fun. Was that the punch line?

      1. 🙂 ((reaches for wallet to check driver license. Notes a little heart symbol with the word “donor” — chuckles))
Seven stents and an artificial aortic valve. The hardware is worth more than the ticker.
LOL! Yolonda says the only thing worth donating is my brain coz never been used. ROFL (that’s a lie)

      2. Uh huh… I’ve signed the back of my medicare card, too.
SEVEN stents? AND and an aortic valve? Good gawd, man…
        He he he… I love Yolonda 😉

      3. It’s genetics (thanks Dad) and perhaps a few years of smoking. Did my 1.2K yards in the pool today and bit more. 🙂 All is well.

  1. An organ donor? I guess I’ve heard worse justifications. Hopefully she gets the hint from the question that the price needs to be lowered a bit or it will soon become free…

  2. I, too, love your intros almost as much as your stories.
Welp… dying for a cause, so to speak… Though I do wonder how Bill knew he was an organ donor… inside info?

  3. Dear Bill,

One pill makes you larger…thanks for the earworm. Hope Bill didn’t shoot any vital organs that could be donated. I have a brother in law who tells even worse jokes than I do. However he’s in pretty poor health so I don’t know that medical science wants any of his organs. 😉

Wow! Read your exchange with Dale. I’m glad you’re still around to swim.

    Shalom,

    Rochelle

    1. Thank you, Rochelle.

Since they don’t yet transplant brains all the other parts are good to go. “One between the eyes,” as the cliché goes.

I forgot to mention the addition of a pace-maker. Bionics are not so unusual these days. 🙂

      Peace,

      Bill
